Mostly my scenarios in the rule-set go to the wire, this one was a blow out, mainly due to some dice extremes.

I had set it up for a face-to-face and only remembered after our usual meet start time had passed that Mike couldn't make it this week … Doh!

Normhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05031444717952755557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-30309776118107801002018-07-13T21:58:47.433+00:002018-07-13T21:58:47.433+00:00Norm there is so much great fodder here for tablet...Norm there is so much great fodder here for tabletop miniature gaming i can hardly stand it. I am just counting 10 Soviet vehicles, so I think this one will be a thumper. I suspect it is more of the latter than the former. There is a good argument for all the forces to attack over open ground away from the woods, ensuring that the Soviet tanks and HMG (i.e ranged weapons) are destroyed quickly, since the actual Soviet Airborne squads have short ranged weapons and so being in the open is not as dangerous for the Germans as might otherwise be the case. An advance through the woods probably plays into the Soviets hands - yep, plenty of ideas for a re-run :-) Normhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05031444717952755557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-75016491521324632042018-07-12T20:56:29.137+00:002018-07-12T20:56:29.137+00:00Thanks for another great AAR Norm:). Funnily enough I thought the scenario would be a tough call for the Germans, given where their objectives were placed, as well as the field defences available to the Russians. I think this scenario could be worth replaying a few times to see how different tactics might work best for both sides.

These linked battles make we want to get my Soviet forces onto the table, but too many other projects on the go at present:(Steve J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12143308117853983963noreply@blogger.com
