Something to think about.Normhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05031444717952755557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-63914642714661519212021-06-27T20:24:37.976+00:002021-06-27T20:24:37.976+00:00Trying this again after getting an error…grrr)
The...Trying this again after getting an error…grrr)
The pics of your collection in action look really good! 😀
I can really relate to your effort to find rules that tick all the boxes. I’ve been going through that process for years for my 1066 types (off and on).
I really like S&S except for how hard it is to charge your whole battle line into the other guys battle line. It can be done with multiple activation dice with the same number but this is hard to get so charges tend to go in piecemeal. I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before so I’ll shut up about it. 😀
I do really like the die activation mechanic though. It could be especially befitting the WoTR if each battle/ noble got their own color. I also read a variant where especially good leaders would get a few extra dice in the bag to represent their ability to get more out of their armies.
All this buzz has gotten me reading up again on the WoTR. Really great history to read. Maybe one day I’ll join the miniatures club. But not today. 😀Stewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00340930167419307092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-56957927970235746502021-06-26T21:23:57.102+00:002021-06-26T21:23:57.102+00:00Thanks Ross, I’m happy with the game and happy wit...Thanks Ross, I’m happy with the game and happy with the look :-)
Normhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05031444717952755557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-19599091580549363752021-06-26T20:52:04.758+00:002021-06-26T20:52:04.758+00:00Excellent post! Your analysis of the rules are spot on I think, with them offering a great game, but at times tricky to find clarity when mid-game.
