Digging deeper, how much of the 'new' cash raised in the Bring and Buy gets taken back into the trade hall to spend ON TOP OF what would be spent anyway.

I suppose what I am getting at is how much punters money is going into the Bring and Buy and then never coming back into the trade and at what point commercially does the Bring and Buy become the bigger part of the show to the detriment of the trade side (I have no idea myself) - I have never seen it as busy as it was this year, but I do know somewhere people were trading there rather than just being wargamers who want to turn around some of their stuff so that they support new projects etc.Normhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05031444717952755557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-18358553587909688102016-07-01T07:52:31.195+00:002016-07-01T07:52:31.195+00:00Bring & Buy was great but the 'trading'...Bring & Buy was great but the 'trading' aspect is a valid one. I've always thought of the B&B as a bargain hunt but it tends to see a lot of traders / resellers stocking up as well....understandable but not really 'cricket' so to speak.David Woodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13447850584097621767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-10894387040217958272016-06-20T22:34:20.988+00:002016-06-20T22:34:20.988+00:00This comment has been removed by the author.thesignallerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13074547760375496517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-23749240632293021052016-06-20T22:33:31.753+00:002016-06-20T22:33:31.753+00:00Unfortunately not, on holiday, but will be back ne...Unfortunately not, on holiday, but will be back next year with a 25mm black powder american war 1812 battle.thesignallerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13074547760375496517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-81114940250066546362016-06-20T14:41:08.504+00:002016-06-20T14:41:08.504+00:00Thanks for looking and for clarifying. Was the third day when most of the attacks came from that flank and used 1 unit to 2 battalions. Can agree with your comment about the lighting, same every year.thesignallerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13074547760375496517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-1004302690028238162016-06-20T05:37:13.905+00:002016-06-20T05:37:13.905+00:00The Sudan game was wonderful to the eye. A combination of that dreadful yellow sodium lighting and the fact that I resize photo's down to 700 pixels to stay within my Blogger limits, means that my pictures really cannot do that table justice - those camels were quite a sight.
Normhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05031444717952755557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-78070289441514301192016-06-20T00:01:04.835+00:002016-06-20T00:01:04.835+00:00Great pictures, thank you for sharing them.

The only missing company that helps mark a top flight show were Baccus, but as they say on their web page, they couldn't attend due to unforeseen circumstances and that they will be there next year.

I think the bring and buy also had the most items placed than it has before, requiring them to put things on an 'inner' table - my only hope is that's balance remains and that the bring and buy does not suck money away from the traders in the hall. I think some people use the bring and buy as a place to personally trade from and that doesn't feel good to me.

The North West doesn't really have another comparable show - so this one is precious and supporting it paramount.Normhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05031444717952755557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368677310334370714.post-83489681650031904382016-06-19T07:35:57.083+00:002016-06-19T07:35:57.083+00:00Thanks for the write up on the show and the pics. ...Thanks for the write up on the show and the pics.
